NOMINAL (NECK & HEAD) COLLAR SIZING

Use the following guideline for dog collar neck sizing. For further information, please refer to a visual neck & head illustration link, as shown in our Coat Sizing Guidelines and Coat Sizing Chart.


MARTINGALE COLLAR SIZING STANDARDS

Always provide neck/head measurements; in the event sizing does not follow within the measurement guidelines. We will determine the correct fit. All collars are adjustable.

X- SMALL - 7” – 10” Neck/head size
SMALL - 9.5” – 12.5” Neck/head size
MEDIUM - 12.5” – 17.5” Neck/head size
LARGE - 17.5” – 20” Neck/head size
X-LARGE - 20.5” – 23” Neck/head size
CUSTOM - Special Size if not listed above – Price upon request

COLLAR HARDWARE

All collar hardware ("D" ring & slides) are supplied standard with Solid Brass hardware.  We have optional "Chrome/Silver" hardware available at no additional cost.

COLLAR CONSTRUCTION

Posh Paw Designer Martingale Dog Collars are all "Martingale" style safety humane collars. Each dog collar is adjustable and fashioned to form a large neck loop and a smaller collar loop. The martingale collar; unlike chain collars, will not cause injury to the dog’s neck.

All Posh Paw dog collars are sewn and assembled in the USA. Decorative collar trims and other fabrics are imported from France, Germany, Switzerland and the Far East. Solid brass and Chrome/Silver hardware is provided for the “D” and “Slider” ring components. Solid brass and Chrome/Silver hardware will not rust or break apart from forces with high energy dogs. All Collars include strong parachute webbing between the outer trim fabric and satin lining. Collars are sewn on industrial sewing machines (no home models) with industrial grade strong thread. We custom manufacture collar orders to your individual requirements.

All Posh Paw dog collars are lined with “Whisper Soft” satin linings. Satin lining is very soft on the dog’s neck; will not collect hair, does not smell and easy machine wash and air dry. The martingale collar with a satin lining (properly adjusted); will not allow your dog to back-out or escape from his/her collar.

“Felt” lined collars, used by others; collect hair and the collar develops a very strong odor over time. “Felt” is impossible to clean and the embedded collar hair acts like rough sandpaper, causing neck irritation.

Posh Paw collars are washable and guaranteed against manufacturing defects. Collars are NOT guaranteed on dogs with itching, scratching and rough usage. We can recommend a durable collar trim for more severe playing.
